Brendan isn’t just committed to helping families secure the right mortgage—he’s also working to make the entire homebuying process fairer, safer, and more accessible for everyone.

As Co-Founder and Chief Advocacy Officer of the Broker Action Coalition (BAC), Brendan amplifies the voices of independent mortgage brokers and the homebuyers they serve. The BAC is a grassroots network representing mortgage professionals nationwide, and its mission is simple:

  • Level the playing field between mortgage brokers and big retail banks.
  • Push for inclusive policy changes that expand access to homeownership.
  • Fight for Veterans, minorities, and underserved communities so more people can achieve the American dream of owning a home.

Under Brendan’s leadership, the BAC has delivered meaningful results. Some highlights include:

  • Passing Disabled Veterans’ Property Tax Exemption legislation in multiple states, removing barriers and adding tens of thousands of dollars in buying power for those who have sacrificed most.
  • Creating the BACPAC, the largest political action committee ever formed for mortgage brokers, ensuring the industry has a strong, united voice in Washington.
  • Securing broker access to Florida’s Hometown Heroes program, giving first responders, teachers, and essential workers more financing options.
  • Leading the fight against Trigger Leads, protecting homebuyers from unwanted and misleading solicitation calls after applying for a mortgage.

Before founding the BAC, Brendan served as the President of Advocacy for the Association of Independent Mortgage Experts (AIME), where he began regularly met with members of Congress to advocate for mortgage brokers and the families they serve.

For Brendan, advocacy isn’t about politics—it’s about people. Every step forward means more families can buy homes with confidence, more Veterans and first-time buyers can access fair programs, and more communities can benefit from a stronger, more competitive mortgage market.
